Quiksilver Surfing for guys
This exciting course focuses on a 16 lesson programme specially designed by six times South African Surfing Champion Roxy Davis and the Quiksilver team. You will have the opportunity to learn to surf in an environment that specializes in surfing and surf lessons. The programme offers one lesson per week which usually run over the weekends. If you have your own group of five people you can arrange a time and day most convenient to your schedule. your surfing equipment hire is included in the course fee so all you need to bring is yourself, your costume, towel sunblock and a lock for your locker!

Course Fee

Intermediate Surf Programme

Come and join our Intermediate Surf Programme!
Have you been surfing for sometime or just completed a learn to surf programme? Why not improve your technical surfing skills by taking part in our intermediate surfing programme. The programme duration is four months from February– May 2013. The group will run every Saturday at 8:30am (bacline surfers) and 9am ( midbreak surfers) or Sunday at 9am! If you have your own group of five people you can arrange a time and day most convenient to your schedule.
We provide you with a surfboard,wetsuit and rash vest for the lesson as well as a locker ,change rooms and hot showers for after your lesson.Just bring along a lock for your locker, costume, towel and don’t forget to put on your sunblock before you get to the beach :)
We will teach you:
- How to ride waves at the back line
- How to get your board on the rail
- How to do manouves such as cutbacks,re-entrys,floaters and closeout turns.
- How to surf competitions (for those wanting to learn)
- AND SO MUCH MORE!

General Lesson Information
Instructors and equipment
Our instructors are professionally trained staff ready to attend to all necessary needs in and out the water. Our head trainers are equipped with a level two ISA surfing qualification approved by Surfing South Africa. They are also qualified lifeguards and trained in first aid.
The Roxy Club is one of the few Surf Schools for girls in and around South Africa approved by Surfing South Africa.
Surf instructor ratio (1:5) 1 instructor to 5 girls on average.
All equipment for the lessons (surfboard and wetsuit) are provided by the Roxy Surf Club.
