Everything! But especially: sharing my love of the ocean, and making people happy – because everyone’s happy when they learn to surf.

Muizenberg, Huletts, Victoria Bay

A coaching quallification, yes Level 1

Tell us one thing you think we should know about you?
I have a serious fear of deep water, but I’m working on it. And I love to travel, so if you have any spare space in your suitcase….!

What do you love most about surf coaching:
To see the stoke everybody feels from standing for their first time and watching people’s surfing progress.

What is your favourite surf spot:
Bingin reef in Bali, J-bay and Mosselbay Outer and Inner pool.

Do you surf competitively?:
Yes

What is your best surfing result:
5th u16 Mosselbay Grom Search 2011, Making the 2011 Western Province team and finishing 13th u17 overall, 2nd u20 and 3rd u16 Onrus classic 2011.

Are you qualified in first aid?
No but i have done the First aid introductory course.

Are you a lifeguard or have a lifeguard qualification?
No.

I’m a pretty chilled guy who’s love and passion is surfing :)

What do you love most about surf coaching:
What i Love and enjoy most about being a coach is being able to teach and guide others how to surf, being able to allow them to experience the feeling of surfing and being in the water. Being able to work with others and see how excited and happy they are after surfing or catching their first wave makes being a Surf coach so much more enjoyable. I love being able to share my passion with others.

Surfers corner, Danger Bay, Long Beach, Camps Bay reef

Are you qualified in first aid?
Yes

Are you a lifeguard or have a lifeguard qualification?
Qualified lifeguard. Well capable of swimming in the open ocean with and against sea currents. Clients safety comes first, would able to assist if there was to be any situation.

Tell us one thing you think we should know about you?
I aim for success don’t settle for less. Friendly, kind and helpful being. Believe in having fun but being serious at the same time. i Surf because its how i express myself and each wave presents a new challenge.

4 years consistently, although I started surfing 11 years ago.

What do you love most about surf coaching?
Seeing people achieve something they never could before while enjoying themselves in a healthy environment.

What is your favourite surf spot:
Kommetjie – Main Peak.

Are you qualified in first aid?
Yes, labour approved first aid level one.

I’m very observant.

Beginning of 2012

What do you love most about surf coaching:
Being able to give people the best experience in learning how to surf.

What do you love most about working at the surf emporium?
The atmosphere is amazing and i do what i love working in this surfing industry.

What do you love most about the surfing lifestyle and culture?
Being outdoors in the ocean appreciating the lifestyle, it keeps me fit and able to interact with many different people.

Outgoing and always up for a new challenge, enthusiastic and passionate about the sport.

What do you love most about surf coaching:
Being able to teach people a sport they’ve. never done before and see them advance, becoming more confident even in their character. Meeting people on a weekly basis that’s local and from abroad.
