Dear Teachers, Parents and Competitors,
Thank you for joining us at event #03 of the Series. You may have noticed the Junior Division Participation has increased substantially! We are now competing with 15 Junior Teams and 9 Senior Teams.
In the Junior League we have made the descision to add a third podium. This will ensure the judges maintain focus on 5 surfers in the water at one time. We are running Podium System for both Junior and Senior Divisions whereby everyone gets the same number of "heat" opportunities to compete against the other teams in the event.
All participants of the League have complimentary usage of the Surf Emporium facilities (which include lockers, changerooms and hot showers) for League Series Event Days. When registering on event day, the surfers will be given a wrist band indicating membership access for that event.
TRAINING NEWS: Surf Emporium Is running a Winter Blaster Training Programme which is available for Beginners, Intermediate and the COMPETITOR category. This progrmme is developed by 9 x South African Surfing Champion Roxy Davis. Roxy is the first and only South African to have represented South Africa in all three Surfing Divisions ( Surf, Longboard and Stand Up Paddle Boarding) as well as been a former National Team Coach and Manager.
The Winter Blaster Programme is running over June and July with 17 training dates to choose 8 sessions to participate in.
Our Competitor Programme will focus on competition surfing, heat strategy, Improving your wave scores, maximising time in a heat, Video Analysis and mastering your manouvers. The programme includes an Electronic Training Manual and a free Winter Blaster Gift to the Value of R1000.
