Time
The competition will start promptly at 15h30.
Registration and Competition Venue
Registration will take place at Surf Emporium. Please sign in, collect your rash vests and proceed to your designated beach box. Please ensure all vests are returned after your heat has been completed.
Competition Area: In front of Surf Emporium – Muizenberg Beach, Surfers Corner, Muizenberg.
Surf League Order of Events
14H30 – 15H15: Junior REGISTRATION
15H30 – 16H20: 40 min HEAT 1 Junior Teams
16H30 to 17H20: 40 min HEAT 2 Senior Teams
Reminder of Important Weekly Registration Information
Registration will take place at Surf Emporium Muizenberg from 14h30 on all competition days. A complete list of surfers, in the correct order, needs to be handed in at registration by the latest 15h15 the day of the competition. Each Surfer must register and collect their contest vest in person. This order may not change thereafter. Teams are then expected to be in their allocated pen wearing their competition rash-vests by 15h15 for heat 1 (15 min prior to the start of the heat). Should participants be free surfing or not present in their pen by 15h15, they will be penalized. The first Heat will begin at exactly 15h30.
Term Three Fees
Please remember there is a R100 registration fee per participant per term. If you have not yet paid your third term fees please ensure you do so on the first day of the start of Term 3’s event. You may pay via cash or credit card at the Surf Emporium registration desk. Please ensure all outstanding Term 2 fees are paid in full prior to the commencement of Term 3’s events.
Please Note
Teams are to consist of a maximum of 5 participants. Should a team have less that 5 participants, they may still compete however each participant may still only surf once meaning that they will forfeit the points of the “missing” team members.
A complete list of surfers, in the correct order, needs to be given to the Contest Director by the latest 15h15 the day of the competition. This order may not change thereafter.
Schools are encouraged to bring along their gazebos, feather banners and/or any other team merchandise.
All participants competing in the league have access to the Surf Emporium facilities for the days of the tag team events. This includes use of the lockers (please bring along your own padlock) and hot showers available for after your competition.
We also have a new and exciting VIDA E CAFFE Combo offering available for all participants in the league events on Fridays. You can get a Quattro Cheese Toastie or Bacon,Egg,Cheese Toastie and Solo Hot Chocolate for only R45!!
